Crude Glycerin (also spelled Crude Glycerol) is a high-energy, viscous organic compound predominantly generated as the primary co-product during the biodiesel manufacturing process and natural fat/oil splitting (hydrolysis and saponification).
Characterized by its dark brown appearance, raw crude glycerin typically contains a mixture of glycerol, water, MONG (Matter Organic Non-Glycerol), and residual salts. With a standard glycerol content of 80% to 83%, it serves as the essential raw material for glycerin refining factories to produce high-purity USP/Food Grade glycerin, as well as a cost-effective carbon source for industrial wastewater treatment.
